The variety of colors and shapes of flowers, trees and leaves has fascinated me since I was a child. The power of the sun and its play with light and shadow in nature are characterized by: "grace - joy of life - confidence - peace and serenity". With pictures you can capture the beauties of nature. Because what you love, you also protect. Therefore, my motto for my pictures is: "Save the earth.“

What’s your background?

The variety of colors and shapes of flowers, trees and leaves has fascinated me since I was a child. The power of the sun and its play with light and shadow in nature are characterized by: "grace - joy of life - confidence - peace and serenity". With pictures you can capture the beauties of nature. Because what you love, you also protect. Therefore, my motto for my pictures is: "Save the earth.“

What does it mean to you to win the Collectors Art Prize?

At the moment I am really happy about it. The second thought is that my heart theme: "Save the Earth" also resonates in my painting. Two decades I have worked as a presenter in Germany for various TV - stations, such as ZDF or ARD and spoke at every opportunity about nature and wildlife. That we must protect this unique planet earth and treat it with care. We are only guests on mother earth and so we should behave. For these reasons I also became a vegetarian about 20 years ago. It was always my wish to be heard with my topic also in art and this has happened and for that I thank you.

What do you think is the role of art in the world today?

Art touches us and always gives us moments of happiness when we look at it. Art can be a positive mediator. Art can make us aware of things we have not yet seen. Art captures moments, colors, lights that we can always rediscover. Everyone who studies art just a little bit will find an image for himself that touches his soul.

What would it be if you could change one thing about the art world?

.Everyone who is artistically active can make a difference for themselves. Always go new ways or stay with a topic that is particularly close to his heart. Everyone can do something "good" with his art.

What are your most significant professional achievements?

Professional success means "freedom!" to me.

What do you wish to tell viewers about your work that might not come out explicitly? What do you hope to inspire with your artwork?

My motto in life for years has been, "In love - live and let live!" Love is the comprehensive word for: "health - happiness - contentment and confidence!" Because if we worked every day to think more in terms of love, everything that many people in the world are so afraid of would be history. Love is the all-encompassing word to think, act, feel, work, meet and dance positively in this beautiful world. This is what I want to express with my paintings. That people enjoy the colors and shapes of the wonder world of nature and enjoy it every day! If I can achieve that with my pictures, I am more than happy.

What advice would you give to the upcoming generation of artists?

In matters of art I can give no advice but in matters of "health!" Always remember the glass is not half empty, but half full!" Love and care for your body and mind and treat yourself and the environment with care!"

In what direction would you like to see your career go in the next five years?

That's a good question and I almost can't answer it because I am a person who lives in the "here and now". Now in this moment I am happy and healthy and full of love what more do I want!
